So this year we have decided to apply our fitness to something good. We're taking part in The May 50K by MS Research Australia!
We will be running, walking, swimming or riding at least 50km throughout May, leaving our limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!
Because of the current state of things with COVID-19, the challenge is still on as we can continue without breaching any social distancing guidelines. (You can even do the whole thing on a treadmill at home if you're able!)
There are over 25,600 Australians living with MS and we need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us. Research is the key to changing the future of MS and we’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to be an active part of the change.
For some of us, running 50km in 31 days might seem like a lot, but with proper planning and strategy we'll be able to tackle it without a hitch. Also, if running is not your thing, you can still follow along with the same principles and add walking, riding, swimming (or whatever you like) in its place.
This challenge also allows you to set your own distance target, so for the distance runners out there who would be clocking more kilometres than our target in that time can up the ante if they choose.
This is not an individual effort, we are calling anyone and everyone to join us for this and there are a few ways you can do this, you can donate to support our efforts or you can join our team and start your own fundraising efforts!
If you would like to donate to our efforts for this challenge, you can do so by clicking here.
If you would like to join our team, all you need to do is click here.
(If you decide this route, I will make sure you get in on our 50k online program too!)
We would be truly grateful if you could make a donation towards our fundraiser today and support our team challenge. Thank you for your support!
