A Quick Update

It's been a while since I've had a chance to sit down and write anything for this space which has been really frustrating but one of those things that just had to give. So today, to break the dry spell I just want to keep it short and sweet and give a quick update as to whats new here with us. So What's new?



#1Online Programming:

I've teamed up with TrueCoach to deliver online programming and accountability for both remote and face-to-face members of Legacy Coaching. The testing phase went well so I've decided to take it on and give it a real crack. This feature allows quick an easy access to your plan from your phone, as well as the ability to add any of our own metrics to track progress in pretty much what ever you want from body weight, strength numbers or maybe even your assault bike time trials (definitely your assault bike time trials).


It's live now and I'm in the process of making sure everyone is up to date so if you're not on board at the time of reading this, send me an email to clarry@legacycoaching.com.au and I'll get on to it for you.


#2 Change in the Weather: The days are getting shorter and it's getting colder, so what does this mean for us? It means that we're going to have to make sure we are nailing down our preparation to make sure getting in and getting our work done is as easy as possible, especially when getting out of bed is at its toughest.


This means packing your gym bag the night before and making sure you have everything in an easy to reach place when you're heading out the door. Every year when the weather shifts we see (and feel) a big struggle getting in- this is really where the work gets put in that future-you will thank you for.


This is also where many people start to get sick. If you are truly ill, don't come to the gym. I appreciate the effort but it's going to be difficult for you to get much from it as getting up the stairs will be an issue from the start. Also, nobody else wants your germs, so give me a heads up with as much notice as possible and I'll adjust your requirements from there.


#3 Lights, Camera, Action: One of the functions in TrueCoach is the exercise video library which allows me to link a video for each exercise prescribed so that when I'm not around you'll still understand how it should be performed. So far I've liked most of the clips that come with the software but some aren't great. So I'm going to be filming my own versions and uploading them to youtube and the TrueCoach Library for your consumption.


The other video related update is that I'll be looking for some volunteers to shoot a quick exercise demo or even a testimonial to give newcomers and insight as to your experiences from the point where you considered coming down to the gym to now.
